One of the greatest objectives of the Argentine Farming sector as a whole is to keep on growing in volume as well as in cereal quality and differential attributes. In the farming season 2002/2003, this sector has achieved a 70 million tons overall yield record in cereals with an important increasing participation of the soybean. Argentina’s evolution in this respect shows the continuous growth based on the fact that farmers have the most advanced production techniques and the best inputs that have helped them achieve increasing yields per hectare.

This efficiency growth was accomplished as a result of the supplier seeding companies that had participated in the global network of genetic exchange among different national and multinational companies, which gave way to adapt and develop for our soils, a variety of high technology and genetic aspects.

Genetic research is the foundations of progress, and the varieties developed for it play an increasingly important role in overall seeds used by Argentine Farmers. The farmer that freely decides to plant these leading varieties, included in the ERS (Extended Royalty system), can recognize the their “technological value” and commits by purchasing it, to pay the seeding provider the corresponding royalty in further plantings.

C&M Technology and Management by means of this system operation which is installed in an independent and unified Data Base, coordinates and monitors the fulfillment of these commitments for the whole sector, giving way to the acknowledgement of technological research.
